Desert Planting with Color and Character
This project shows how desert-adapted planting can add interest and character to a residential landscape while remaining appropriate for Southern Arizona.
Cacti, succulents and other climate-conscious plants each bring a different form, color and texture to the yard. Thoughtful spacing allows individual plants to stand out while giving them room to mature. Decorative stone and surrounding hardscape help connect the planting areas to the rest of the property.
Every yard presents different conditions, including sun exposure, drainage, available space and existing features. We consider those details when recommending a practical approach for each landscape.
Whether the goal is to refresh an established planting area or improve an unfinished part of the yard, a well-planned desert landscape can provide year-round visual interest without feeling overcomplicated.
